On 14 February 1951, while companies of the first battalion were attacking a concentration of enemy on a hill near Noha-dong, Korea, about fifty enemy were climbing up a slope toward the position where the battalion command group had established an observation post in an attempt to over-run the position. At this time Private FERRAN PAZ was radio operator at the battalion observation post. When Private Ferran Paz noticed the enemy movement, he left his radio, entered the fire fight and, without regard to his personal safety, charged into the enemy force.
