Finding two wounded men, he assisted them to safety and then aided the platoon leader in leading a counter-attack which resulted in the resteration of the platoon position. The heroic actions and courage displayed by Sergeant MARRERO VELEZ reflect great credit upon himself and the military service. Entered the military service from Puerto Rico.
