SERGEANT ANTONIO ARIAS RODRIGUEZ, RA30405025, Infantry, Company "I", 65th Infantry, 3d Infantry Division, United States Army. On 31 January 1951, near Son-Gog, Korea, Sergeant ARIAS RODRIGUEZ, was on a mission to clear a roadblock. His platoon was pinned down by intense enemy small arms fire that forced them to withdraw to new defense positions. Later discovering that one of his men had been killed and left behind, with utter disregard for his own personal safety, he moved forward in the face of enemy fire and recovered the body. The heroism of Sergeant ARIAS RODRIGUEZ reflects great credit upon himself and the military service. Entered the military service from Puerto Rico.
